Armbro Play does best

Armbro Play followed up some consistent racing with a decisive and impressive win in the Lantana Lodge Ladies’ Mile.

Her prospects of success did not look bright when she was last starting the final 1000 m and she had not improved much at the straight entrance. She then unwound a strong run wide out and raced to the line with two lengths to spare over the pacemaker, Regal Cheval.

Remote made a late bid along the rails for third half a head away, a nose in front of Twilight Mist, which shaded Seafield Rose, Chippie, Just Sally and By Myself. Raced by Mr Dave Condick, Armbro Play is trained at Greeripark by Stephen Little. She is a royally-bred four-year-old mare by Armbro Del from Miss America.
