C.B.H.S. centenary match
The kick-off of a game of rugby this afternoon will mark the opening of the Christchurch Boys’ High School centennial celebrations. The school’s annual rugby match against Christ’s College has been brought forward to become part of'the celebrations. It will be played at Rugby Park at 2.30 p,m. The centennial programme will be officially .opened by the Governor-General (Sir David Beattie) at the Town Hall this evening. More than 2000 old boys are expected to attend, which may strain the’ resources of the organisers. A spokesman for the centennial committee, Mr Ml Q. Holdsworth, said he was worried that some old: boys would arrive without -theirX tickets, leading to long delays while their identities were checked. >
