Bruce Compton’s first of! two victories at Blenheim yesterday came on Leggy Lee. which capped off a lengthy, string of minor platings with! a decisive win for his) Hawera owners, Ron and) Lauraine Nolan in the' Country Prince Handicap. I Leggy Lee came from well back to challenge Oregon Pine half-way through the run home and ran the 1400 m out strongly to win by a length. Oregon Pine held second comfortably but there was a great line-up for third.
