Special correspondent Kathy Boardman and Jane Evitt, two Christchurch contract bridge, players, scored the easiest of wins in the New Zealand trials, which ended in Auckland last even- ■ thus ensured themselves selection in the New
Zealand women’s team to tour Australia next month. Mesdames Boardman and Evitt, who last played for New Zealand in the Olympic championships in Holland towards the end of last year, proved to be by far the most consistent pair in the threeday trials.
