Divine Ruler top prospect

Special' correspondent Auckland Divine Ruler has the chance to round off a hat-trick and complete a great comeback in the Ellerslie Sires’ Produce Stakes today. So outstandingly good in the spring, Divine Ruler lost interest in racing during the summer, his waywardness leading to hi s being gelded after a further failure at the Wellington Cup meeting. Since coming back again, Divine Ruler has had two starts for a winning double at Tauranga on March 28 and April 4 No fault could be found with his behaviour on either occasion. The first time he had 57kg, the second 59kg, giving away upward of 7kg, and as much as Ukg to his opponents. In this one he will be meeting ail the colts and geldings on level terms and he has to give the one filly. Bound To Honour, only Besides Divine Ruler, four last start winners are in today’s field and four other runners claim close-up successes. Scotch Reel won the Manawatu Sire’s Produce Stakes in his latest attempt, Ringtrue the Great Northern Champagne □takes.
