Pharmacist Class 2 . - Level 14 The appointee will be required to prepare and update standard specifications of medical supplies and equipment to maintain adequate standards of quality and conditionsfor Papua New Guinea, and when required assistin the preparation of schedules of new orders for new medical supplies and equipment He will ensure that appropriate standards of storage of stock and their documentation in all medical establishments are maintained.’ Pharmacist Class 2 - Level 14 The appointee will be responsible for the updating of legislation relating to pharmaceutical supplies He will be required to liaise with the Comptroller of Customs in respect of statistics on dangerous and narcotic drugs, and applications for licenses to import He will inspect commercial premises and private pharmacies to ensure that appropriate legislative provisions are adhered to. Pharmacist Class 1 - Level 9 The appointee will assist the Pharmacist Class 3 of the Base Medical Store in Port Moresby. The duties wii! involve: • Supervision of operations (pharmaceutical and administrative) of the medical store • preparation of estimates to ensure adequate supply • supervise staff engaged in bottling, labelling and packaging of products • check requisitions for subsidised drugs against prescriptions sub-, mitted by private pharmacists and authorise required replacement • stocktake dangerous drugs and maintain register etc Salary Salary Level Salary p.a.
