Donella Thomsen, Miss Universe (New Zealand) for 1981, accepts the keys to a new Ford Laser car from Mr Garry Johnson, the Ford Motor Company’s marketing manager in Christchurch. Miss Thomsen, aged 21, of Auckland, was among 18 contestants for the title in the Christchurch Town Hall on Wednesday. The other part of her prize is a trip to New York for the Miss Universe contest on July 21.
