‘Swindle’ story
It seems that one Christchurch picture theatre is waiting for a break in Academy-award winning films before deciding, to run the Sex Pistols’ story; “The Great Rock ’n’ Roll Swindle.” The film was to be shown at the Carlton theatre, but the acclaimed “Coal Miner’s Daughter” arrived instead. However, one “Press” reporter has seen the Pistols’ epic, and claims that it’s definitely worth waiting for, especially because of ‘ the early live footage, including Glen Matlock on bass, that is included.
