Thomson’s county move
NZPA London The former Australian test bowler, Jeff Thomson, will play for Middlesex this year, the county announced yesterday. Thomson will play in county championship matches — and probably
against' the touring Australian team, Middlesex officials have spent most of the off-season scouring the world for‘a fast bowler to replace Vincent van der Bijl, the South African, who left the county after helping it win the championship last year.
