Youth shot in ear
PA .- Wellington A Wellington youth required 17 stitches ' in, the right ear.after he was shot with an air-pistol last evening.
The youth, who declined to be named, said he was talking with friends in central Wellington when he was approached by a man who first struck him with the pistol and later shot him as he ran away. The police cordoned off the area and arrested a min in a nearby house. A man, aged 21, will appear in the District Court at Wellington today on firearm charges.
