Management changes
•Dominion Breweries, Ltd. will introduce a divisional management structure on April 1, according to the chairman, Mr H. G. Callam,
As adopted by other major organisations both in New Zealand and overseas, the new structure would best meet the company needs, and at the same time provide for continuity for progressive management, he said.
Sir Henry Kelliher, the managing director and chief executive, said that trading had continued at a buoyant level and expressed confidence that the new structure would enhance and streamline strategies in hand for future development and growth of the company’s business.
Mr M. J. Adams, an associate director with more than 30 years service with the company, has been appointed executive assistant to the managing director, with
senior executive responsibilities.
Three assistant general managers, each with considerable company and industry experience, have been appointed general managers of their respective divisions and, with Mr Adams, will form an executive management team.
Mr C. W. Taylor, an associate director and secretary of the company since 1960. has been appointed general manager, finance and administration.Mr . Taylor has held senior financial and managerial appointments with the company and will continue in office as company tecretary. Mr K. P. O'Neill has been .ppointed- general manager - marketing, with responsibility for national beer sales and wine ,and spirit and merchandising operations.Mr O’Neill joined D.B. in 1970. and has held senior management positions in the group
breweries and marketing . divisions. : Mr D. E. Wilson has been ‘ appointed general manager, hotels, with responsibility for hotel management, project development, food operations and leased hotels supervision. Mr Wilson joined the company in 1947 and has had wide experience in adminis- i tration of hotel and market- , ing operations.

Mr G. R. Paton, group accountant since 1970, has been appointed group chief accountant with responsibility for budgetary control and group financial reporting. It is also understood that Mr Stanley Pritchard, general manager designate of Dominion Breweries will be leaving the company.
