New name for Air Foods
From Monday. Air Foods (N.Z.). Ltd. a subsidiary of The Canterbury’ Frozen Meat Company, Ltd," will be called CFM Harewood.
The change of name of the plant at the Christchurch International Airport,-is the second step in the rationalisation of the CFM group's further processing activities.
-Air Foods had been working under the direct control of CFM's buying and processing division since the start of the current export killing
season — a move that has meant a far more logical distribution of cutting orders between, the company's various facilities, achieving greater efficiency and cost savings, said the manager of the Harewood works, Mr P. G. Dargan. By calling the plant CFM Harewood, it comes into line with the group's four other works, known as CFM Belfast, CFM Canterbury’, CFM Fairton and CFM Pareora respectively, he said.
