Council staffing
Sir, — Through this column, I wish to inquire of the Christchurch City Council about the following important matter. With regard to a recent council discussion, does it intend to add to the present excessive number of people in .administration one more as 'rubbish co-ordinator on a salary of $21,000 per annum, plus internal costs? — Yours, etc., E. S. STEWART. March 19, 1981. [Mr J. H. Gray, General Manager and Town Clerk, replies: “The council recently decided that this appointment was necessary to further its policy of resource recovery.”]
