Good will tour of N.Z.
Meeting the Prime Minister (Mr Muldoon) this week was one of the highlights of a six-week New Zealand tour by six American businessmen, said their leader, Mr Ken Swenson, yesterday. The exchange visit is sponsored by Rotary to encourage “friendship, good will and understanding” among young men in non-
communist .Western Countries..
The team, from lowa, has travelled extensively in New Zealand meeting local dignatories and personalities, and visiting a range of companies from various industries.
Mn Swenson said the team had made several friends during its visit, and
three planned to return with their families for holidays* Mr Swenson, an enthusiastic jogger, discussed with Mr Muldoon in Wellington the merits of jogging round Hagley Park in Christchurch* The Prime Minister, after indicating that he preferred not to jog, did concede that Christchurch was the “prettiest” city in New Zealand* Mr Swenson noted.
