Sale of inn
The Graham Motor Inn at Franz Josef will be sold next week and renamed the Westland Motor Inn. The new owners will be Mr Ralph Brown, of Queenstown, Mr and Mrs R. Eldershaw, of Christchurch, and Mr E. R. Haganan, of California. The purchase price is believed to be close to $600,000. The 10-year-qld motor inn, with 47 units
and a licensed restaurant, is'on the main road about Ikm on the township side of the T.H.C. Hotel. The motels were built by Maurice Carter, Ltd, for the Grahams, one of the original families of Franz Josef. The nevr owners plan to spend about $150,000 on improvements and refurbishing;
