Here is one section, top of a new. mobile home on its way to the mobile home village site in California. It will be joined up with two or three other sections. The mobile homes in this village, are luxurious, with all the conveniences of modern living dishwashers, waste disposals deep freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers, air conditioning, intercom systems, and even saunas and whirlpool baths. They cost between $US25,000 to $US80,000 complete to buy, but because they are not permanent, the homes are not highly taxed like normal buildings. The mobile homes are made of aluminium, on a heavy metal base, which is bolted to a pre-cast foundation. Because of their cheapness, Americans are flocking to buy the mobile home units, which come in a variety of appealing styles, some including attached garages.
