Transformer arrives
PA . Auckland A 68-tonne transformer, the biggest to be built in New Zealand, has arrived in Auckland after ; a two-day journey by road from Wellington. The 80MW transformer will supply power to- the North Shore from the Waitemata Electric Power Board's Wairau Road sub-station. The transformer by Tyree Construction,. Ltd, in - Wellington and has half the capacity of ' the Meremere power station.
