P.S.A. submissions
PA Wellington The Public Service Association yesterday made submissions to the Parliamentary health and welfare committee as a result of the Government’s decision to close the Auckland and Christchurch dental nurse training schools. The P.S.A. president, Mr D. H. Thorp, said his association wanted a freeze on the proposed closing until a full inquiry could be mounted into the size, functions, and goals of the school dental service. “To allow this asset to wither away, taking with it hundreds of jobs, would be a tragedy that must not be allowed to happen,” Mr Thorp said.
