KAIKOURA COUNTY COUNCIL KAIKOURA SEWERAGE SCHEME CONTRACT I'l6o/10 CONSTRUCTION OF EAST END AND AVOCA STREET AREA TENDERS are invited from contractors for the above work which involves the laving of sewer pipes ranging in diar eter from 100 mm to 225 mm and rising mains of 125mni to 150 mm. Associated with this work is tlie .construction of manholes and two pumping stations.
The excavation for sewers range up to 3.5 metres deep and will be mainly in beach gravels and limestone. The quantities listed below are a guide to tenderers. 545 metres -225 mm sewer - A.C. 4370 metres -150 mm sewer - U.P.V.C. .1400 metres -100 mm sewer - U.P.V.C. . 5 metres -156 mm pressure - U.P.V.C. 225 metres -125 mm pressure - U.P.V.C. .. . 2 pumping stations : 80 manholes The pipes which have been purchased will be supplied, to the contractors. Plans and specifications may be obtained from the Kaikoura County Office in Kaikoura, or Steven, Fitzmaurice and Partners, 122 Victoria Street, Christchurch. A charge of $2O will be made for the documents and will be refunded upon submission of a bona fide tender. Tenders will be received until 4 p.m. on Friday. April 3, at the Kaikoura County Council office. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
