Powley will be big attraction at Oamaru

Oamaru patrons will on Monday, have one of the last remaining chances to see-the talented Powley in action on a provincial course. ■ The $600.0 Waitaki Stakes, a newcomer to the Broadlands Filly of the Year Serie’s, gives Powley a chance to. land'her tenth win for the seasons. Michael Casey, who has partnered the Noble Bijou filly in,her nine wins so far, will again have . the mount on the z Wingatui speedster, and the pattern should be unchanged: Powley should burn off speed with superior speed from the front end, to give T.A.B. treble hunters a successful start. John Albert, who is apprenticed to Powley’s trainer, Hector Anderton, was to have ridden the filly but he is unable to receive a clearance for an injury, the Press Association reports from Dunedin.
