Concrete blocks thrown at car
A man threw concrete blocks at a car, causing damage estimated at $7lB because he disapproved ol the 20-year-o!d owner’s relationship with the 14-year-olc daughter of his de facte wife, said Sergeant W. He' was c convicted and fined $lOO, “put on probation for 12 months, and directed to take treatment for his alcoholism. Sergeant McCormick said that at 1 a.m. on March 13 the defendant had returned to the address of his defacto wife. He found the ‘ complainant's car parked in the driveway. The defendant went to the rear of the premises, picked up some concrete blocks and threw them at the car. The defendant, who had earlier been drinking, then left the scene.
Compensation of $7lB was sought, said Sergeant McCormick.

The Judge left the matter of compensation to' be determined by civil jurisdiction. STOLE CASH A man, aged 20, who admitted stealing $215 in cash from a drawer in a woman’s flat was convicted and remanded in custody to March 24 for a probation report and sentence. Michael John Dixon, when arrested, told the police the money had been spent. Compensation of $215 was sought, said Sergeant McCormick. Sergeant McCormick said that at 6.45 p.m. on January 25 Dixon had gone to visit an acquaintance in a Hostel. Not finding his friend he went to another flat in the same hostel and finding noone inside, went in, opened a drawer, and found the $215 which he took.
