The holders of two tickets on the Frontline, Gaucho and Princess Codeene combinatio in the course treble at Orari yesterday each received a dividend of $1216.95. Frontline and Gaucho were both solidly backed runners but Princess ’ Codeene, which carries the colours of her Washdyke trainers, Jack and Esta Daly, won the Belfield Stakes No. 1 at odds of more than 25-to-one. The Wingatui apprentice,! Joanne Lamond, had Princess Codeene handily placed till i the home turn, brought her! forward to make a bid early! in the run home and she! scampered away from the! others close to the end to win i by a length. ! In a good line-rup for the; minor places Belltoi took sec-i ond by a neck from Round Up .and Rosa. Fina was, a similar distariceyback, fourth. from the fourth line for his placing, Round Up shared the same line as the winner, and Rosa Fina was fading slightl yafter being secondequal on the home turn.
