The same bunker at the eleventh hole at Shirley trapped the tee shots of Debbie Randell (Nelson, left) and Jeannette Ross (Canterbury) during the final round of “The Press” invitation women’s stroke tournament last Sunday. Miss Randell overshot the green and dropped a shot, but Mrs Ross played a superb explosion shot and made par. Miss Randell was runner-up to Cushla Sullivan and Mrs Ross finished equal fourth.
