Fire brigades fight it out
PA Gisborne Hastings led by eight points after the first day of competition in the United Fire Brigades’ Association national competitions at Gisborne yesterday. Competition is strong among the 86 teams from throughout New Zealand competing in the three-day ev-an't. Lyttelton is second, with 20 points, and then came Huntly with 17 and Havelock North (13).
