No change in roll
Student enrolments at the University of Canterbury this year are expected to be similar to those of 1980, said the university’s information officer, Mr Eric Beardsley yesterday.
At ’the - end of enrolment week yesterday, 6879 students had enrolled, compared
with 6876 at the corresponding time last year. It is believed that the strikes affected the enrolment of North Island and overseas students and the final roll is expected to be similar to last year which was. 7444, Mr Beardsley said. The number of-first year students is slightly up from 1854 10 1893. •’
