The work is varied and includes analysis of data collected on water level sites, rainfall stations, research projects and hydrological field work, is required. The vacancy is for a person to form part of a team servicing hydrological requirements for the National Water and Soil Conservation Organisation, divisions of the Ministry of Works and Development, other Government Departments and providing advice and assistance as required to local authorities. The position is that of assistant to a Group Leader and the successful applicant will be domiciled in Dunedin. After initial appointment to Dunedin, further training will be given for short periods in other parts of New Zealand. Qualifications desired are B.Sc. (Hons), B.Ag.Sci. or B.E.
