Good news for farmers

There was some heartening news for farmers in the latest export meat schedule released yesterday.

Several increases were made to the lamb schedule and lamb and sheepskin values also improved. The increases-in the lamb schedule were PX, up 11c, PH up 6c, PHH up 4c, and Alpha, up 10c. The PM, YL, YM, and CM grades are unchanged. The PL and OL grades were down 2c. The value of woolly and shorn lamb-skins and sheepskins improved by 20 cents. G grade heifers between 195 kg and 220 kg were down 4c and between 220 and 245 kg, down 3c. Supplementary payments on .manufacturing beef rose 26c arid on bulls up to 10c.
