The Chief'Post Office in Christchurch has decided against establishing a branch at Parklands." ; A Parklands branch was proposed in 1978, said the Deputy Chief Postmaster (Mr A. McKenzie). /; . “Blit there has been very little- growth in the area since then, and it has now been decided that it would not b'e warranted,” he said. “We had discussions with some of the developers there before making the decision.” Parklands residents were well served by the post offices at Greenhaven, Bower Avenue, and, to a lesser extent, Burwood, said Mr McKenzie. . v /
