Kennel Club show cancelled

Timaru reporter The South Canterbury Kennel Club’s championship show, which ■ was to have been held at the Timaru Showgrounds tomorrow, has been cancelled. A total of 560 dogs were to have been exhibited. The Horse Society’s circuit show scheduled for \Vaimate tomorrow and Sunday has been cancelled. The Obedience Club’s ribbon trial; to have taken place in

conjunction -with the Horse Society’s show has also been cancelled. The restriction on stock movements has forced Mr J. R. Cowie, of Waimate to cancel, the air freight of 10 live wallabies, part of a consignment of 100 Mr Cowie has on order. The wallabies are destined for Rotorua, where they will be vetted 3nd quarantined before being exported to varius parts of the world.
