Drinking and Driving BBtz Faircopbe damned. We're using mufti cars. Most New Zealanders have got the message — that there’s no place on our roads for the drunken driver. Unfortunately, there’s a hard core of drinking drivers still with us who f drink beyond the limit and hope they’ll see us before we see them. > Too many think this way. We have to catch * them to avoid the havoc they cause themselves and others. That’s why we’ve put mufti cars on the road — dozens of them. Those headlights in the rear vision mirror will look like any other car. . . until the red lights behind the grille start flashing. If you’ve been drinking, don’t expect a warning notice. We have to get drinking dM,heroai We're out to save lives. Ministry of Transport Presented as a public-service by: ■ -£? ■ ■• 4039
