Patrona Glow wins
The Christchurch-owned filly, Patrona Glow, yesterday qualified for the $28,000 final of the Tatlow Stakes at Moonee Valley, Melbourne, on Saturday when she won her qualifying heat at Kilmore. Patrona Glow, driven by her trainer, a Sydney journalist, Bill Ellis, tracked another New Zealand-bred horse, All Arranged, which broke in the run home and finished fourth. Patrona Glow is by El Patron from Scottish Glow. She is to raced in partnership by Ron Dalziel and Dr Bruce Todd.
