NZPA Dublin Opponents of the Irish Rugby Football Union’s planned tour of South Africa later this year stayed away from Ireland’s opening home international of the season against France at Lansdowne Road, Dublin, at the weekend. Extra police were on duty at the ground and, for the first-time at a rugby fixture, a three-metre high fence was erected. No incidents were reported.
