Invitation to orientation
Community organisations are invited to participate in the 1981 University of Canterbury orb entation programme. A spokesman for the University Students’ Association, Mr A. Monro, said that it had already received a positive response from many organisations, dance groups, and theatre groups for the open fair day on March 7, the final day of the orientation period. “But we would still like
to hear from any others who want to participate in this carnival,” he said. The activities on the day will include musical concerts, non-stop films, and children’s entertainment, all day, in the cafeteria. “With this fair, we hope to show a little of the workings of the Students’ Association, and allow the general public, community groups, and students to get together over a wide range of social activities,” Mr Monro said.
