Witnesses to accident sought
The Christchurch police seek witnesses to an accident in Bower Avenue last Wednesday in which a boy, aged six, was seriously, injured. . Mark Kevin Hooper, of 62 Castledown' Street, suffered head injuries when- his bicycle and a car collided at the intersection of Bower Avenue and Sandy Avenue about,s p.m., •' , He was reported to be in a serious condition in the intensive care unit at Christchurch Hospital last evening. 1 Anyone who saw the accident should get in touch with the Christchurch central police station immediately. *■* • • A man is also seriously ill in' the intensive care unit after a truck crashed near Rotherham, North Canterbury, on Friday evening. He' is Michael ' Muir, of Clarence Street,-Waiau, who suffered head and chest injuries. • - •':*
