Detectives are Trying to enlist the aid of the public in the hunt for burglars who stole $6OOO worth 6. goods from a house /in? Chester Sireet East just - before Christmas. •£•- ' The police believe that a van' or truck was used to carry off the goods, and they would like to hear from anybody who saw a suspicious vehicle in the street between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on December 23. The burglars, loaded up with, $6OOO worth 6f antique ornaments,’ jewellery, and furniture. The haul included a cloisonne pendant;- valued at $2OOO, an antique walnut chair, and four carved mahogany chairs .wiht. cabriole legs;, which , were" made in Scotland in the 1830 s.
