Brierley seeks Tooth seat
NZPA Sydney Industrial Equity, Ltd, a subsidiary of Brierley Investments, Ltd, now has 7.04 M shares or 10.01 per cent of the issued capital of Tooth and Co., Ltd, the Sydney brewer, and the chairman (Mr R. A. Brierley) has made a formal request that he or some other suitable person be appointed to the board. ; -
Mr Brierley said that recent speculation regarding shareholding changes in Tooth must have been unsettling and that it would be highly desirable to establish a new certainty in the direction of the company as soon as possible. Tooth directors said that they were considering the request.
