Rachel Roberts ‘killed herself’
NZPA Los Angeles The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has ruled that the actress, Rachel Roberts, whose body was found in the backyard of her west Los Angeles home last November, committed suicide by taking an overdose of barbiturates. The 53-year-old Welshborn actress, who once lamented that her bestknown role w'as as Rex Harrison’s reaHlfe wife, was an accomplished stage
and screen actress. She achieved stardom in “Saturday Night and Sunday Morning,” film about the seamy side of working-class life in England. She won one of her three British Film Academy awards for that role. Among her movies were “O Lucky Man,” “Murder On The Orient Express,” “Picnic At Hanging Rock,” and “Foul Play.” She was divorced from Rex Harrison and had no children.
