Runway extension
Sir, — I was sorry to read your editorial of December 19, “No case for a longer runway.” It showed a complete lack of understanding of what the issue is all about. In attempting to maintain an economically, viable as well as a safe airport, the city must be the envy of many. The City Council has been forward looking in its planning. However, the Government for its part has not shown the same foresight. I only hope that we do not have to wait for an accident to pccurbefcra there is sums
positive action. However, with another election next year perhaps we may see something positive within the next 12 months. — Yours, etc., PETER I. VOYCE. December 27, 1980.
