Rubbish collections
. Local authority rubbish collections in metropolitan Christchurch have been rescheduled because of the two statutory holidays this week. Collections usually made in Christchurch City on Thursday will be made today and those usually made on Friday will be made tomorrow. In Waimairi County, Thursday rubbish rounds will not be made. Householders used to having their rubbish collected on that day will have to wait until next week, but the Friday rubbish ’round will be made as usual. The Paparua County will make no’- collection this week, but services will resume as normal on Monday. Collections in Heathcote County have- been rearranged: Thursday’s removal will be made today and Friday’s removal, tomorrow. The Riccarton Borough Council will change its usual Thursday collection to tomorrow and move Friday’s round on to Monday.
