Fauna body alters

Four new three-year appointments have been made to the Fauna Protection Advisory Council — the body which advises on the conse-nation of wildlife — by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Highet).

The new appointees are Dr G. W. Gibbs, of Eastbourne, a reader at Victor-

ia University; Dr P. C. Bull, of Lower Hutt, the assistant director of the D.S.I.R.’s Ecology Division; Mr G. J. H. Moon, of Warkworth, a member of the Veterinary Surgeons’ Board; and Mr S. L. Lobb, of Invercargill, who is the president of the Southland Acclimatisation Society. Seven other members of

the council have been reappointed. Four, whose terms expire in December, 1981, are Sir Charles Fleming, Mr L. E, Henderson, Mr K. H. Miers and Mr R. B. Gibson. The other three, whose terms expire in December, 1982 are Dr I. A. E. Atkinson, Mr L. Gurr and Professor J. Robb.
