Troup may drop out of tour
NZPA Melbourne
Unless thhre is a sharp improvement in his fit-; ness, Gary Troup, the leftarm bowler, may have to drop out of the’New Zealand cricket .tour of Australia.
During the third test against Australia yesterday, Troup suffered a recurrence of the rib muscle injury which affected him earlier this month.
“The injury is not quite as bad as when 1 first suffered it,” said Troup, “but it does hold me back — I can only bowl at about SO per cent horsepower.” The New Zealand team management discussed Troup’s injury last evening and the possibility that he might have to be replaced for the remaining tour matches. However, a decision is not likely until after Troup tries out the injury in the second innings of this test
