C.M.I. div. increased
Consolidated Metal Industries, Ltd. the Aucklandbased manufacturing engineer, is raising its interim! dividend rate in spite of the! group net profit falling 7.6; per cent to an estimated: 5785.000 in the six months! to September 30.
The result was very satis-; factory in the light of diffi-s icult trading, and it must be noted that the profit in the first half of 1978 was $663,240. the directors said in a brief half-yearly report._ Sales were steady at $l5 million, they said. ■ The interim dividend is; raised from 4.25 c to 4.75 c a share on capital increased by a one-for-10 bonus issue in August. The dividend is; payable on December 17.
