Winds hamper rowing
For tfir third time In as many years, the weather hampered competition In the Cure Boating club’s rowing regatta at Kaiapol on Saturday.
The strong winds blowing atralght down the 1009 m course, caused problems for the imi’H boat crews. As a result, only four finals were raced. Those finals resulted.— Open women’s doubles: Canterbury No. 1, 6 min. 5 secs 1; bury No. 2, 2; Cure 7:40 3. Mens lightweight fours: Avon 1; Canterbury 2 (no times taken) , Junior doubles: Avon No. 1' 4:02 1; Avon No. 2 4:06.5 2.
