Has he croaked?
Brian, the bionic frog, may have made his last leap. An experienced parachutist, Brian dropped from a light aircraft above the go-karting at Carrs Road, Sockbum, at 3 p.m. yesterday, and has been missing since. His static line released, the ’chute opened as it was supposed to, and Brian drifted gently Into a shingle pit near Halswell Road. He was last seen being picked up by someone from a white Zephyr car.
But it is unlikely that Brian was injured in tine jump: he is a stuffed soft toy, the Canterbury Sky Diving Club’s larger-than-life mascot. He is black, stands one metre high, has big red eyes, a big red mouth, green feet and a little white parachute. Brian has made about 40 jumps.
