He is vice-president of the New Zealand Simmental Society, having been associated with the breed since it was first introduced in New Zealand. He has been farming, on his own account for ’ 15 years. His father, Mr W. G. Sutton, acquired the holding in the early 19505. Mr Sutton, who is 39, is the .senior vice-chairman of the i meat and wool section of i the South Canterbury provincial executive of Federated Farmers. He represents the section on the Dominion ,Meat and Wool Council. Recently, Mr Sutton has been involved with the Dairy Board computer centre in the design of a national beef recording system.
