THE SPECIAL PROJECTS DIVISION OF THE FIJI ELECTRICITY AUTHORITY, AN JN HOUSE CONSTRUCTION ORGANISATION IS CONSTRUCTING A MAJOR PART OF THE MONASAVU HYDRO ELECTRIC SCHEME AND REQUIRES SUITABLY QUALIFIED AND EXPERIENCED PEOPLE TO FILL THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS: CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER $NZ35,000 negotiable The Construction Engineer is responsible for the performance of the Field Construction Section of the organisation which has a heavy works programme, through to mid 1982. The major work being undertaken is the construction of an 85 metre high earth and rockfitUam including spillway. Other works include operation of a ready m.x concrete plant, construction of intake works to the power station and miscel aneous roadworks earthworks and concrete work. Sections under the control of the Construction Engineer include the Mechanical Section which is resoonsible for the maintenance and reoair of the Special Projects Division vehicle and earthmoving fleet, the Crushing and Batch and the Earthworks and-Concrete Sect.ons.
