‘Women on the Move’ forum
j Women interested in hearing about the “Women on I the Move” programme and about women’s issues will ibe able to attend a “Women on the Move” forum to be held at the Polytechnic on November 12. The programme, which j will run from November 14 to 26, is a Government-spon-sored scheme to mark the United Nations Half-decade for Women. A highlight of the programme will be a run for women from Invercargill; and Kaitaia to Wellington. 1 The forum, from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m., will cover the 1 programme and associated activities in Christchurch. There will also be a panel,
discussion of women's, 1 issues, such as education, work, support systems, poli-’ tics, health, and minority women. Information and dis-| play tables will be set up by; Christchurch women's groups. i ' The Christchurch Poly-' technic reported that there , had been a lot of interest in ' the forum, which was, / planned as a lead into the two weeks of activities dur- 1 ing the “Women on the (Move” programme.
