S.I. dog champs
An Australian. Mr Peter Luylen, of Melbourne, judged the eighth championship show held by the South Island Boxer Club at Yaldurst on Saturday. Mr Luylen said that dog and bitch wlnnens and their reserves would compare favourably in Australian competitions. “The baby puppy dog and bitch entered in the novice classes gave clear Indications that the future of the breed is in good and expert hands in this country. There is no doubt that you have a nucleus of high quality stock which will greatly benefit the breed,” he said. Results:—
Best puppy: Dr Tourelle’s and Mrs Tourelle’s Assisi Super Dog (Oamaru). Best junior: Mr and Mrs Green’s Topline I’m Rudy (Christchurch). Best intermediate: Dr Scandrett’s Alicia of Kastanie (Christchurch). Best veteran: Mr and Mrs Ni.iland's Sunrise of Parkstone (Christchurch). Best in show: Dr Tourelle’s and Mrs Tourelle’s Assisi Summer Orgy (Oamaru); reserve, Mrs R. Holdem’s Stellutl of Topline (Christchurch).
