Immigrant refugees ‘pleasing’
PA Wellington A total of 3185 IndoChinese refugees had been admitted into New Zealand by the beginning of November, with 206 more to arrive before the end of the year. The Under-Secretary for Immigration (Mr Malcolm) gave figures showing that the numbers for 1980 have increased by more than 700.
Last year, 1056 came to New Zealand. The figure anticipated for 1980 is 1800.
