Rain eases storage
PA . Wellington Significant rainfall in the South Island last week reversed the downward trend in South Tsland hydro dam storage which now stands at 79 per? cent, said : the Electricity. Division of the Ministry of Energy yesterday. North Island storage continues to ease, largely because of ■ dry conditions in i.2' East Coas t - area. ■ ..Spilling-’ continues, at, Manapouri, and Tekapo and .the latest. increase ;in inflows' has/made spilling, necessary, at Benin storage levels.
